Amendment to the Privacy Act 2020

As part of the financial advice and related services we provide, there may be times when we collect personal information about you from someone other than you directly. This could include information received from lenders, insurers, product providers, referrers, employers, accountants, lawyers, trustees, co-borrowers, or other third parties connected with the services we are providing to you.

Under the Privacy Act 2020, when we collect personal information in this way, we are required to take reasonable steps to notify you of certain matters, unless an exception applies.

We collect personal information so we can provide financial advice and related services to you, including assessing your needs, considering suitable products or services, preparing applications, liaising with lenders or providers, and meeting our legal and compliance obligations.

Who may receive your information
Your personal information may be shared, where relevant, with lenders, insurers, product providers, third-party service providers, compliance and audit providers, professional advisers, and any other party where disclosure is necessary for the services we provide or where required by law.

Whether collection is authorised or required by law
In some cases, collection, use, or retention of your information may be authorised or required by law, including under obligations relating to financial advice services, anti-money laundering and countering financing of terrorism requirements, taxation law, and other applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request correction of that information, subject to the Privacy Act 2020.
